July 12, 2024 Dear colleagues, In 2023 we organized a special year "Recent Trends in Computer Algebra” (RTCA, https://rtca2023.github.io/), with 3 workshops in Lyon in the spring and 3 workshops + 3 research schools in Paris in the fall. The themes of the workshops in Lyon were . Effective Aspects in Diophantine Approximation . Certified and Symbolic-Numeric Computation . Mathematical Software and High Performance Algebraic Computing while the research schools and workshops in Paris were on . Fundamental Algorithms and Algorithmic Complexity . Geometry of Polynomial System Solving, Optimization and Topology . Computer Algebra for Functional Equations in Combinatorics and Physics As a natural continuation of RTCA, we have decided to publish a volume in the Springer collection TMSC (Texts & Monographs in Symbolic Computation, https://www.springer.com/series/3073) focusing on lecture notes of the courses in the research schools and possibly survey articles from the themes of the workshops. We target a volume of about 600 pages in the "contributed books” format (https://www.springer.com/gp/authors-editors/book-authors-editors/your-publication-journey/manuscript-preparation#toc-49271). All speakers of the conference, as well as the participants, are invited to contribute! Please note the following important information: . Lecture notes and survey works will both be considered . The reviewing process will be a classical one . Papers should be prepared in latex and sent in pdf to the four editors (Alin.Bostan@inria.fr, Mohab.Safey@lip6.fr, Bruno.Salvy@inria.fr, Gilles.Villard@cnrs.fr) . The deadline for the submission is March 1, 2025. To organize this special volume, could you please let us know as soon as possible if you consider submitting a contribution to this volume? (This is of course not a commitment, but will allow us to estimate the number of submissions.) With our best wishes, Alin Bostan, Mohab Safey El Din, Bruno Salvy, Gilles Villard
